Business Plan for a Startup Business

Published by budl2008 under Articles

The business plan consists of a narrative and several financial worksheets. The narrative template is the body of the business plan. It contains more than 150 questions divided into several sections. Work through the sections in any order that you want, except for the Executive Summary, which should be done last. Skip any questions that do not apply to your type of business. When you are finished writing your first draft, you’ll have a collection of small essays on the various topics of the business plan. Then you’ll want to edit them into a smooth-flowing narrative.

The real value of creating a business plan is not in having the finished product in hand; rather, the value lies in the process of researching and thinking about your business in a systematic way.

The act of planning helps you to think things through thoroughly, study and research if you are not sure of the facts, and look at your ideas critically. It takes time now, but avoids costly, perhaps disastrous, mistakes later.

This business plan is a generic model suitable for all types of businesses. However, you should modify it to suit your particular circumstances. Before you begin, review the section titled Refining the Plan, found at the end. It suggests emphasizing certain areas depending upon your type of business (manufacturing, retail, service, etc.). It also has tips for fine-tuning your plan to make an effective presentation to investors or bankers. If this is why you’re creating your plan, pay particular attention to your writing style. You will be judged by the quality and appearance of your work as well as by your ideas.

It typically takes several weeks to complete a good plan. Most of that time is spent in research and re-thinking your ideas and assumptions.  But then, that’s the value of the process. So make time to do the job properly. Those who do never regret the effort. And finally, be sure to keep detailed notes on your sources of information and on the assumptions underlying your financial data.

Are Business Handbooks Worth Your Time

Published by budl2008 under Marketing Articles

I just finished reading one of the most informative e-books I have ever purchased. So since “The Super Affiliate Handbook“, sounds good to me I thought I would write a little about it.  I would be surprised to hear that you never heard of Rosalind Gardner but if you haven’t she is one of the big names in Affiliate Marketing on the Internet and this is the first book she has written about her methods of success.

Rosalind dose not leave anything out of her outstanding outline of how an affiliate business is built. This is an amazing account from the simplest organizational methods up to and including tools to be used and a complete business plan. There are few books that I consider worth keeping as reference, trust me I’ve have bought a lot of them and most aren’t worth you time. Most of what you find in today’s internet marketplace is just people that never sold a thing and are paraphrasing and outright coping someone else’s work trying to make a buck selling it to you. It took me a long time to wise up to this so don’t make my mistake. Most of what you need to know you can find free if you do your research. The only reason I recommend any e-book is if they teach business method and basics. There is little difference between an e-business and any other except for the methods of advertising your product to a targeted audience. Yes anyone can make money on the net but it is not a get rich quick media. You have to do you research. I can tell you that you finding this article is one for the good guys. Now I am going to mention one e-book that is worth reading especially if you are new to affiliate marketing.

I am admittedly a Rosalind Gardner fan but even if I wasn’t I would still have to say her e-book is a work of art. She breaks the business down to a successful method of operation. All the fluff is gone. If you are one of the serious ones, willing to take good advice and work at it, you need to read this book. Rosalind takes you from day to day operations to weekly, monthly and yearly tasks. You don’t have to worry that this is one of those say nothing pieces we so often see. I think it’s one of the few I have ever read that has given me any insight to success on the internet at all.

From B.J.Lyons: If you would like to read more about Affiliate Marketing I invite you to my website BudRicksPage Reviews read more about it for yourself. All the best in the future Bud L
